Dinos Boys are at Dino’s tomorrow while we also get a taste of our hibernating Belcourt with this month’s Peripheral Visions at Third Man. Also at Third Man Wednesday night is the album release party for Margo Price. Meanwhile High Functioning Flesh and Body of Light are at Foobar and Atlantic Thrills and Wiggy Wez are at Betty’s. There’s an Aries bash with a tonna younger bands at Queen Ave on Friday, and then Saturday is yourn classic behemoth Record Store Day. WOW so many bands. Who you gonna see? You even gonna go? Lotta people man. Loooooootta people. Hey but HeCTA, Lavender Country, Promised Land Sound, Savoy Motel, Sun Seeker, Ranch Ghost, Ornament, Teddy and the Rough Riders, and many more are playing around town for free. That night, Twins and Prostitutes play at Betty’s and Western Meds have their album release at Queen Ave. FINALLY, Sunday brings New England Patriots and Gnarwhal to Drkmttr and Audacity to the End. Phew, is that enough shows for ya? No? S’not? OK, Montgomery Bell Academy’s Endada and University School of Nashville’s Zeitgeist festivals are on Saturday and Sunday respectively, but you’ll have to find out about those in the cafeteria or something cos there is ZERO info about them online! Where we do we even start with Juan Wauters? Ever since we first saw him at Freakin’ Weekend V, our heads have been spinning. North American Poetry lived on our turntable for months when we first heard it – the simplicity of the songs, and the vulnerability of his lyrics have always kept us coming back. Just the other day a friend brought up NAP and how it STILL blew his mind. His new album “Who Me?” is nothing less. While covering the same ground, his musical arrangements and vision have completely expanded. He is back in Nashville this Friday at Third Man Records with Tall Juan and The Funs.
