Newest in the seemingly endless canon of compilations to document long gone punk scenes is EVERYTHING IS SHIT: Punk in Brussels 1977-79. With acts like The Kids and Elton Motello being near-household names in the punk world, it should come as no surprise that Belgium had such choice offerings so early on, but this compilation cuts a little deeper than that. What’s offered here is the underbelly of the scene, a “best of” from many bands who never made it past their first single. Farty guitars and frenchy chants abound.
