Last year found us getting some long overdue Lee Hazlewood reissues thanks to the almighty Light in the Attic, and it now seems like some other talent from his LHI roster will be getting the same treatment. First at bat is Honey Ltd., a trippy dippy girl group from the Motor City. Their sole album, produced by Hazlewood, was released in 1968 to no commercial success, and the band parted ways within two years. The Complete LHI Recordings [out July 23] will be a compilation that album plus four additional tracks, making it all available for the first time since its initial release.
The songs delve into “far out, dude” territory. There’s no mistaking Hazlewood’s production though, and that’s something we’re always down for more of. Pre-order the record here, and check out a track below.
