We read the blogs, we check the boards, we keep out ears close to the ground, but still we somehow miss out on big news from time to time. Case-in-point: a track from the new Oblivians record was released a month ago! Did you know that shit? We did not know that shit. The track, “I’ll Be Gone,” is the first single off their new record, Desperation. It definitely sounds like a post-Reigning Sound Greg Cartwright song, but it’s still cool to hear how that sorta thing comes out when put through the Oblivians filter. Pre-order for Desperation went up a couple days ago, so head over to In the Red if you want the limited color vinyl.
