Last night Mikal Cronin tweeted that he had a surprise for everyone in the morning – so we went to bed dreaming of what it could be. We figured it would probably be the first single off his new record, but we didn’t know for sure. I mean, coulda been anything! You can pre-order MCII right here from Merge and also order a Cronin-stylee tie-dye Merge tee at the same time. No word as to when we can expect a return to Nashville for Mikal and the boys, but we’re hoping sometime this Spring or Summer because it’ll be nicer outside and there’s nothing like a Mikal Cronin show in the sunshine…

The record’s called KLUDGE, and though it doesn’t hit the streets until May 20, we’re throwing a little shindig to celebrate its…
We told you on Monday that we would have some big news for Freakin’ Weekend coming up, and the time has come. To start things off, above this lil chunk of text is our poster for this year. NO, it doesn’t say Freakin’ Weekend anywhere on it. NO, it doesn’t list any of the bands….
