It’s old news at this point for most Nashvillians – but does it matter? William Tyler is one of if not our absolute favorite local band. We believe that Behold The Spirit is one of the great Tennessee albums and since we first heard it we’ve only been anxiously awaiting a follow-up. Lucky for us it’s coming this March from Merge Records and it’s called Impossible Truth. You can hear the first track from it – “Cadillac Desert” – right down there. It’s more of the remarkable guitarmanship you’d expect from Willy. The track debuted last week along with the album’s tracklisting and artwork. That fucking artwork. We really can’t recall an album cover as beautiful or appropriate as this Sam Smith designed piece. If the album can live up to the artwork – which we definitely expect it to – then this is easily going to be one of the best records to come out in the 2013 year. Impossible Truth is available March 19th from Merge Records…
