Like we mentioned earlier in this week’s RUNDOWN, we’re getting a total treat this week with a visit from the legendary Roky Erickson on November 14th. He’ll be accompanied by The Hounds of Baskerville – a band featuring Roky’s son Jegar – and Brooklyn’s Nude Beach. From show reviews and articles we’ve read recently, it seems like we can expect to get a nice mix of Elevators and Aliens material along with some cuts from Roky’s latest album True Love Cast Out All Evil which came out back in 2010. We’re not sure when the last time Roky made a visit to Nashville, but we’re really excited that he’s stopping back through. You can pick up tickets for the show right over here. A Thirteenth Floor Elevators boxset was recently released that would make for a prime Christmas/Hanukah/Kwanzaa/Whatever gift. You can check that here. Anyway – we know it’s a rainy Monday and the days are getting shorter and colder – so here’s a clip or Roky playing “Right Track Now” from the You’re Gonna Miss Me├é┬ádocumentary to soundtrack your morning…
