We started doing this thing right around 3 years ago and at about the same time – our buddies Bad Friend decided to go on a hiatus. Which means we never really got the opportunity to talk about them. For those of you who frequented the fridge at Glenn Danzig’s House – you may remember a little yellow flyer that stuck tacked to the front for what was one of Bad Friend’s last shows [Probably don’t remember though] But here we are – in the 2012 about to get our first Bad Friend show in a few years along with the much awaited release of Let It Go. Their record was recorded in March of 2009 and it will finally see release this weekend with a celebratory in-store performance at Grimey’s New & Pre-Loved Records on Saturday August 18th at 5PM. Make sure you’re there. You can listen to the whole record right now at Bad Friend’s SoundCloud page if you want. If you don’t want… well, that’s whatever. We posted one of our favorite tracks from the record – “Stalemate” – below. The whole album is pretty chock-full of 90s indie-vibes [When indie was indie! And no one cared! Looking at you Pavement, GBV, blah blah blah] The vinyl edition of this is limited to 100 copies with silk-screened covers, so make sure to snatch it up quick…
