There are a lot of productive artists and musicians out there. But perhaps the most productive right now [and the last few years for that matter] has got to be Ty Segall. He’s been constantly releasing LPs and singles and cassettes for the last while and any avid fan would tell you they have a hard enough time keeping up with his ever-growing catalog. Well – looks like we’re about to add a lot more to it. A brand new split 7″ with Feeling of Love was released not long ago from our buddies at Permanent Records which you can snag right here. It’s a tour split for some dates they’re doing together around the US this 2k12. Probably want to get on it soon since it’s selling fast. Word also just came from In The Red that the Ty Segall Band record will be dropping this June in the form of a 2×10″ – suck it, Metallica. That record will mark the first release of Ty’s with a full band recording live in a studio. Definitely worth getting excited about. Beyond that — Ty’s been working on his next record, the collaborative record with Tim Presley [White Fence] and maybe a new single or two [we’ll tell you all about that later] So go ahead and look up “busiest dude in the world” – you’ll see Ty’s picture right next to it. Ty will be in town again this May with White Fence, Useless Eaters, and Cy Barkley & The Way Outsiders. FUCKIN’ SICK
