We’re always excited to get some new Kelley Stoltz material in our lives – so with word from our European buddies at Le Disques Steak that they’ve got a brand new 7″ from the king of pop – we’re plenty stoked. The new single will be out sometime this month [you can go ahead and pre-order it by emailing disquessteak[at]gmail.com if that’s your thing] and features two new tracks that follow up where his 2010 SubPop LP, To Dreamers, left off. As we’ve all come to expect from Mr. Stoltz after hearing so many of his solo efforts and works with people like Sonny Smith – the single seems to drip pop sensibility and catchy riffs. You can check out a video of Kelley and the band playing “Caroline” right here. Sounds like a hit to us. Used to have a crush on a Caroline when I was in 6th grade and got totally rejected. This helps heal the wounds, Kelley. Thanks. The artwork for the single can be seen below and was put together by Mr. Sonny Smith of Sonny & The Sunsets fame. Be sure to snag this one to accompany the Spring weather we’ve got goin’ on…
