You guys know us at this point — you know we stay adequately stoked just about all the time. But we just got some “new news” [couldn’t help it, had to do it] from the kind guys at Jeffrey Drag Records that has us closing in on some record high stokedness. They’ve finally unleashed all the information concerning the debut 7″ from our buddy’s, Ranch Ghost. And they’ve even gone ahead and tossed up a pre-order option so you can order now and not have to worry about it later. The single comes in the form of two killer straightforward garage gems in a press of 300 [200 on mixed and 100 on classic black] We dropped the A-Side – “New News” – a while ago in our TEEN BEAT section, but you can check it out again at the bottom of the post. And with a March 26th release date we know this is going to be something we’ll spin all Summer long. They’ve got a few lines on some more releases to be announced soon, so keep your eyes and ears peeled… and catch them Thursday March 8th at Exit/In for the FREAKIN’ WEEKEND III
There’s a triple-header at the End tonight with A Place to Bury Strangers, Ed Schrader’s Music Beat, and Breast Massage, Mower is at Betty’s tomorrow, Junior Bob and Honey Locust are at Tower 2 on Wednesday, Desciples of Christ are at Betty’s on Thursday, Lexington’s best, Jovontaes, and a buncha others are at the East…
Booji-wooji bastion Dr. John is at War Memorial tomorrow, Juan Wauters is at the Stone Fox on Friday while there’s a pretty cool looking DJ nite at Betty’s, and Honey Locust and more are playing at Elberta House on Satuday. Stay warm, everyone. It’s gonna be a ruff week I can FEEL it. Monday, February…
