We made mention a looooong time ago that In The Red had plans to reissue The Consumers’ classic All My Friends Are Dead – and now it’s finally here! The album, originally recorded in ’78 in LA, is “required listening” and a necessity to say the least. It’s so gnarly and punk and …. great. The band never really broke through as they constantly found themselves surrounded by roughnecks in the Phoenix area who weren’t really down with the kind of punking we’ve come to love. We could go on about it more, but Brendan Mullen [author of We’ve Got The Nuetron Bomb] has a nice little history of the band and the record that you can check out right here. If we’ve got our information right, this is the first time the gem’s been released on LP since 1995, so go ahead and snag the LP while it’s around!
