After months of production delays, Seth Sutton’s Useless Eaters have some exciting upcoming releases for the new year…
First off is their third LP entitled C’est Bon! (french for “that’s good”) on Oakland’s Southpaw records. 12 songs that start up where last year’s Daily Commute and Zulu left off. Here’s what Rob from Southpaw has to say:
“Seth Sutton clearly made a name for himself in 2011 releasing two critically acclaimed LP’s and a singles compilation LP featuring sold out 7â€s from Goner, Goodbye Boozy, and Jay Reatard’s Shattered label to name a few. Seth has created a brand of punk that is hook heavy, angry, and sleazy all at the same time that keeps us wanting more. The time is here for Sutton’s first release of 2012 and his 3rd LP “C’est Bon!â€. On this release Sutton gets a little darker and treads into some new territory including some instrumental tracks that carry a slight Devo vibe as well as Sutton’s original KBD influences. C’est Bon! is out January 31st on Southpaw Records.” listen to “At The Parkette”

Next up is a 4 song 7″ EP entitled The Moves. New supergroup label from Austin, Jolly Dream Records (ran by Orville Neely of OBN III’s, Chris Iceberg of Play Pinball! records and Max Dropout of Beerland), will be dropping sometime later in the month/early February. Seth gets even more darker with this one with songs about drunk driving (American Cars), girls (The Moves) and everyday human interaction (Proper Conduct). Listen to “The Moves”
It was announced today that Seth is working on a 4th untitled LP slated for a late spring release. Seth has come a long way since his first single (2008’s Agoraphobic on Goodbye Boozy) recorded in his basement in Memphis at age 17. Now age 22 and living in Nashville, Seth is expanding his sound for 2012 with a much more mature approach. Listen to “Starvation Blues #2” and “Addicted To The Blade”
