BIG BATCH OF TROUBLE

Everyone knows that we have the biggest crush on Trouble In Mind. Last year they did us no wrong and put out some of our favorite records [we’re looking at you Mikal Cronin and The Paperhead and Wax Museums] It looks like they plan on keeping us satisfied this year, too. They just announced their first batch of release for the 2k12 and they have us mondo-stoked. In particular — their annual 4-way split covers 7″ that will drop this Record Store Day. The split features Mikal Cronin covering The Banana Splits’ “I Enjoy Being A Boy”, Apache Dropout doing a Nillson cut, The Paperhead doing one of our all-time favorite tracks Tyrannosaurus Rex’s “Stacey Grove” and The Liminanas going full Troggs with “Come Now”. Yep. Gonna have to get multiples of that one. They’ve also just announced a new LP, entitled Irrelevant Future, for our Northeasterly brothers, Estrogen Highs, and a brand new single for California’s Wrong Words. Keep it up, Trouble In Mind, it’s only mid-January and you’re already frontrunners for label of the year. Check out the artwork for the Estrogen Highs LP and the Wrong Words single after the click… and enjoy the mp3 of “I Enjoy Being A Boy” at the bottom of the post. Being a boy rules.
