Denney and the boys are some of the hardest working dudes out playing shows in Nashville — so we’re glad to see they’re finally getting some proper vinyl treatment. As a part of the ever-growing Econline Series from Infinity Cat, there’s a brand new 7″ from Denney and his Jets that you can scoop over at Grimey’s New & Pre-Loved Records. It’s “officially” out next Friday. They’ve got a show lined up with Miss Nikki Lane [who'll also be releasing her new record that day] and the Alabama Shakes. Sounds like a party to us. We’ve heard word that the guys are already prepping their full length debut — and after listening to this 3-song 7″, we couldn’t be more ready. Check out “Killin’ Machine” for a taste of the single and check out the artwork [drawn by Jessi Darlin] right down there. We’ll unload more info about the release show next week.

WHERE DA POOL AT? It’s getting hot, Nashville. Summer’s upon us, and it feels GOOD. Unfortunately, it looks like it’s gonna be a slow week for shows, but that doesn’t mean things will be completely dead. Cheap Time is playing at Ye Olde Stone Fox tomorrow, and R. Stevie Moore and Deluxin’ are playing at…

Mixing the best elements of the Wipers, Husker Du, and maybe even a little Neil Young, Milk Music have really set the bar with this one with Nick Coxen’s shredding ability…

We told you on Monday that we would have some big news for Freakin’ Weekend coming up, and the time has come. To start things off, above this lil chunk of text is our poster for this year. NO, it doesn’t say Freakin’ Weekend anywhere on it. NO, it doesn’t list any of the bands….
