We went back to our show-tally sheets just now at The Deadquarters to count up exactly just hot many Diarrhea Planet shows there have been in the last year. Turns out, there’s been a million. That’s no joke. And then we went to our records and thought, “For the million shows they’ve played, it’d be really killer to get a proper full length record.” And now it’s finally happening. Right after the release of their EP on Infinity Cat, the guys have their debut album, Loose Jewels, prepped to see sunlight on September 20th. It’s a day lots of us have been waiting for. You can preview “Warm Ridin'” which debuted on SPIN’s website last week at the bottom of the page. According to the guys, it took them three entirely different recording sessions to get this record perfect — and in a time when so many bands rush their recordings and releases, that means a bunch to us. You can pre-order the record right now from Infinity Cat and catch them at The End on said release date [or earlier at The Springwater with Hunx & His Punx on Sept. 12th] We’ve got it on good word that the guys don’t plan on letting up the tour-route this year either. If they’re stopping in your town, we really can’t encourage seeing these guys enough. Loose Jewels. Hard style.
