We’ve been hearing rumors lately that Tyvek are taking a little time off for the Summer. Usually that means bad news, but we’re gonna be hopeful about this one and just assume that they’re taking some time to recover from how good their last record was [You can still snag Nothing Fits here] The bad boys over at M’Lady’s Records are finally releasing Tyvek’s Fast Metabolism on LP. It’s been a long time coming. The album, which was sort of a compilation of singles and – at the time – unreleased songs, was originally just a CDr that the band sold on tour to help promote upcoming releases. That was back in ’07. We’re so stoked to finally get the whole thing on LP for the first time. The record is being released by M’Lady in conjunction with new Mississippi Records subsidiary, Water Wing Records. They’ll be offering a small run of white vinyl records limited to 150 mail-order copies only, so get on that. The M’Lady boys pegged it as “one of the decade’s greatest records” — we’d agree with that wholeheartedly.
