In the last few years there have been a ton of record labels to shoot up and start producing lots of releases. Captured Tracks could easily be labeled as a leader or at least one of the most constantly productive of those [putting out records for The Beets, Blank Dogs, Thee Oh Sees, Christmas Island, blah blah] They just recently celebrated their 100th release, the Zodiacs single, and we couldn’t be more stoked for them. Way to go, Sniper. They also just did a nice little interview with the guys at New Noise where they discussed stuff like past releases and the state of the music industry and blah blah blah nerd shit. But they mix it in with new Captured Tracks releases and some of the more seminal tracks they’ve put out in the last while. Check it out down there and if you’ve never visited the Captured Tracks mailorder — please do so and snag some stuff.
