We mentioned a little while ago that Sic Alps have a new record, Napa Asylum, coming out in a few weeks courtesy of Drag City, but we felt like it deserved a little more than just a mention. Sic Alps are easily one of our favorite and most productive bands to come about in the last six or seven years [have fun trying to find copies of most of their earlier catalog though] Aside from being on last year’s Stuffs compilation, the boys have been relatively quiet since their L Mansion single. Which is why we’re so stoked for the new record. After hearing it a couple times, we really think they’re setting the bar high for 2011.
