Jonathan Rado is one half of Foxygen. We’ve never listened to that band, but the single from his debut solo record was released a couple weeks ago. That single features the guitar work of Tim Presley (one of our #1 dudes), and that record will be released on Woodsist (one of our #1 labels). Naturally we gave it a listen, and we’ve barely been able to turn it off since. The song is a classic slice of late ’60s solo psychedelia. Think Billy Nicholls or maybe even the softer side of the Pretty Things if you’re into making those sorta comparisons.
