We’ve been a little behind on posts the last couple weeks with some label business stuff – but we’re going to try and get back on the ball today. Everyone’s favorite ATL bad boys are coming through Tennessee to get their Bonnaroo on, but lucky for all of us non-Bons, they’ll stick around a little while extra to hit up the big blue room at Third Man Records on June 11th. We’re pretty excited about it. The Black Lips have had one previously released “live” record from a gig in Tijuana as well as a live bootleg LP from an old WFMU session – but we think this may be their real first proper actual live record. Another one of our favorites – Cheap Time – will be opening up the show. They’ve been playing out significantly more in the last couple months and are prepping themselves for a tour soon – if you still haven’t picked up the newly released Wallpaper Music, you really ought to. We’ll be on the decks in the back of the room spinning all the “hits” so be sure to bring some ear plugs. Go ahead and get your tickets here. And just like that – online tickets are sold out.
