It’s been a good while since Cleveland’s shining sons, Puffy Areolas, have shown around these parts. But – thanks to The Hate Life – we’ll get a dose of Puffys a little later this month at what’s sure to be one of the best shows you’ll get an opportunity to see this year. If you’ve never witnessed the bone-crunching machine that Puffy Areolas are live, it is strongly encouraged that you attend this. And if your ears have yet to get their Puffy-A cherry popped, you’re really slacking in the game and need to get yourself up to speed. After releasing one of the best records of the 2010 year, In The Army 1981 [via Siltbreeze] they’ve released a couple of singles – most recently being the Gentleman’s Grip 7″ from HoZac. It is hard to think of them and not think of the phrase “non-stop pummeling.” Check out the aforementioned single at the bottom of the post and dig the flyer below. Ohio’s OBNOX are tagging along and not to be missed, and your favorite locals, Cheap Time and The Black Faces, round out the show. Fuck yeah.
