So the bebes at Esquire magazine like to do this thing where they pick a city and then pick people from that city to spend a couple days there and write a song using a given phrase. They did it last year in Mississippi and moved the game to Detroit this time around with the phrase – Last night in Detroit. Most of the tracks aren’t exactly our bag, but one in particular has some real balls to it. Ben Blackwell [of Dirtbombs and recent solo fame] put together a track called “Bury My Body at Elmwood” that’s pretty fucking tough.
