Most of the time when bands that are polar opposites to each other tour together, it leaves a sort of bitter taste in our mouth. But sometimes mismatches can taste surprisingly sweet. Like this one: Kurt Vile and Fucked Up. Yes, you did just read that right and, no, we aren’t joking you around. Philly’s favorite son and the Canadian chemists [two of Matador’s shining lights] are tag-teaming the midwest and east-coast in February of 2010. There’s no Nashville stop on their itinerary, but they are hitting Southgate House in Newport, KY. We’ll pay for the gas if you wanna drive? It could be romantic. I mean, we could spend Valentine’s night together and then wake up in the morning and head up to Kentucky? [That’s when the show is, Feb. 15] Sound good? Yes!
