Don’t you just love one-man-bands? Remember Jeffrey Novak’s one mand band? And Mark Sultan’s solo project? Yeah, one man bands are pretty great. Here’s another one for you to chalk on the list: Spectrals. On wax, Spectrals is Louis Jones from Leeds. In the flesh and blood, Spectrals is a 3-piece? 4-piece? It’s more than Louis Jones, let’s just say that. He’s put out a 7″ on heartthrob label Captured Tracks with a full-length LP slated to follow soonly [and some other things that you’ll probably never find] If Jonathan Richman was surprised at all the sound coming from 4 Velvet Underground-ers, I wonder what he’d think about this.
Spectrals have some dates lined up through the new year [none of which are stateside, but are with acts like Real Estate and Ariel Pink] Pick up their 7″ here.
