LANTERN is on tour through the end of September in support of their debut LP, which came out last month on Sophomore Lounge. We posted about this record awhile back but it bears repeating that these cats have cast their hat in the ring for all your album of the year considerations with Rock ‘N’ Roll Rorschach. Ride it till the wheels come off, brev! Doesn’t look like they’ll be making it down to Music City, but a couple shows in Kentucky that could be worth the ride up 65. Tour dates after the jump.

Crazy that BAD SPORTS released their self-titled debut on Douchemaster almost four years ago [which is now back in print for all you sleepers]. Since then, they’ve really honed the dial in and we’re stoked to get their third LP — BRAS — into our rotation. It’s a little more on the “fuck you” side of the street than their previous release, which seems to be pretty fitting these days.
BAD SPORTS pulls off what a lot of bands aspire to in terms of cracking out straight, no-filler records that only leave us wanting more. You know what you came for. They’re playing a killer party for the Dirtnap Records anniversary later in September and will likely be setting out on a proper tour sometime over the winter. Listen to a track and scoop that record.

Shew… these guys from Bristol recently put up some killer demos which have been rocking our speakers this week. Nerve Endings got that wild grimy sorta thing goin’ on. They have 20 “crappily coated glow in the dark” CDs up for grabs, only $3. Cheaper than a chicken sandwich. No word on an upcoming tour, but maybe our boys to the east will make a trip down to Nashville sooner than later.
