It seems like we haven’t heard much out of Philadelphia’s Lantern since their show at the Stone Fox last year, but we just caught wind that after an overwhelming number of limited cassettes and singles, their debut LP is finally out. Rock ‘N’ Roll Rorschach [available courtesy of the fine folks at Sophomore Lounge Records] shows the band stepping up their game both in song craft and production. Peep “Evil Eye” below to see just what we’re talking about. Like a twisted update on “Lust for Life,” it leaves you wondering where the fuzz guitar ends and the saxophone begins. If that piques your interest, jump on over to Sophomore Lounge’s site to pick up the record. If it doesn’t, may we suggest listening to it again?
