A month has passed since Nashville FD’s crackdown on local DIY venues, and the effects are overwhelmingly apparent. The shows aren’t nil though, and those same kind promoters from before are already finding ways to dodge the snag. DOG from New York play at Betty’s tomorrow, Soccer Mommy play the End on Thursday, and Roger Ebert’s 1970 cult classic Beyond the Valley of the Dolls is the midnight movie at Belcourt on Friday. Our lord and savior Willie Nelson plays War Memorial on Saturday while our prodigal son DOMO celebrates his 21st b-day at Dream House and there’s a good house (???) show out there if you know who to ask. Sunday is a Monster Truck Rally, cos why not?
