OUT OF THE HAZE & WOODWORK

Lee Hazlewood

Well here is some awesome news we were not expecting to get today: the guys over at Light In The Attic have announced that they’ll be releasing and reissuing a bunch of old Lee Hazlewood records [including releases from his own LHI label and previously unreleased material] Hazlewood is most regularly known for his works as a record producer with Duane Eddy and collaborating with Nancy Sinatra — but don’t think for a second that he didn’t have hits for days. Many of Hazlewood’s LPs are harder to find, so we’re gonna be owing Light In The Attic big time on this one. Check out one of our favorite tracks from his 1967 record – Lee Hazlewoodism: Its Cause and Cure – below. Here’s what LITA had to say about it…

“For the past 7 years we’ve been begging, pleading, and praying to re-release some of Lee’s greatest solo recordings and production work, including material from LHI, Lee’s own label from ‘66 to ’71. We are ecstatic to announce that we will launch a detailed Lee Hazlewood Series this spring all gloriously re-mastered from the original analog master tapes. The series will include scores of unreleased sides and unseen photos. As I write this, we’re digging through hundreds of tapes that have been untouched for over forty years, meticulously transferring the reels, and drooling in anticipation for the months ahead.”

So stoked. You can go ahead and sign up for the Light In The Attic 2012 Subscription right here. Save yourself some money and trips to the record store if you wanna.
