At this point, I think even my gramma knows that Brian Eno quote that’s all like “Velvet Underground made a million bands happen” yeah tite woo music writers love it. But the thing is, Eno’s word is steadfast and true, and sweet Nashville has the opportunity to see His words in action soon. New Zealand kiwipop kings The Clean are making an historic trip from the South Island to the States in support of their upcoming 4xLP reissue of Flying Nun Anthology on Merge Records. It would be an understatement to say how excited or stoked we are for this show, because this is simply something we never thought we would be able to see live. Just seeing William Tyler cover “Point That Thing Somewhere Else” at the Steve Gunn show made us yearn to blast all their records like we pine for summer in February.
