Seems like it wasn’t even a couple weeks after the disbandment of Sic Alps that main Sic-o Mike Donovan announced plans for a solo record. That record — Wot — came out this week on Drag City, and it’s a good one. Acoustic downers, bluesy turns, and some signature Mike D moves. It definitely worth picking up in time for fall. Like we mentioned in the Rundown earlier this week, Mike will be playing at the High Watt tonight with R. Stevie Moore. Sic Alps only came here once in 2007, so this is a rare treat indeed.
