BLACK FRIDAY ON THE MOVE

Thanksgiving is one week from today and that means one week from tomorrow is Black Friday – which also means our buddies at the Record Store Day camp have a bunch of exclusives to drop on all you record collecting nerds before the holidays. While the roster of releases may not be as lengthy as the actual Record Store Day in April – there are still a bunch of records coming out that have us excited. You can check out the full list right over here. We’re particularly stoked about the handful of Captain Beefheart singles that Sundazed are issuing, the Lee Hazelwood singles boxset from Light In The Attic, a reissue of Love’s Forever Changes with a bonus 7″, the Scepter Studio Acetate version of The Velvet Underground & Nico, and a special 12″ from The Greenhornes and Eric Burdon. Local contributions to RSD’s Black Friday are coming from Infinity Cat and Third Man. ICat’s got a brand new JEFF single [the one we talked about a couple days ago] and TMR’s got three White Stripes reissue singles [three UK singles from the early 2000s on XL now in the US!] Anyway – if you feel like getting out and about on Black Friday, make a stop on one of Nashville’s great record shops and snag some exclusives while they last. And – just because – here’s an old Beefheart demo…
