If you’ve kept tabs on us in the last year, then you’re well aware of our affinity for William Tyler. His debut LP – Behold The Spirit – was one of our favorite records to be released last year and may very well be the greatest Nashville record. Yes, we know exactly what we just said. He’s worked up his next record and it should be released sometime this year. If you’ve seen him play live around town in the last few months, then your ears have been exposed to some of the newer songs and their beauty. Many of you Nashvillians are acquainted with William and can probably understand what we mean when we say that William’s the kind of person that you feel proud knowing. So it makes us even prouder to say that we’ll be releasing a new 7″ for William very soon. The single features an alternate version of “Oahspe” with Jamin Orrall on drums and an 8 ½ minute cover of Bobby Charles’ “Tennessee Blues” – it comes packaged in our standard Nashville’s Dead sleeve on black vinyl. You can check out the A-Side below. William will be touring this May with The Strange Boys – including a stop at The End on May 8th – but you can click down there to see all the dates.
