The Black Belles

There’s been a lot of talk lately about these girlies, but why would you expect anything less? For a band that’s got ties to Jack White, played on The Colbert Report, released three singles and has a debut album coming out today and have still played approximately 10 shows — there’s bound to be lots of talk. But that’s not what we’re here to talk about [You know what they say — haters gonna hate and taters gonna tate.] Black Belles have their self-titled LP released today from Third Man Records and they’re gonna be celebrating with a release show on Friday night in the big blue room [we’ll be in the back of the room on the 1’s and 2’s] Sounds like it’s gonna be a party. Our buddies Black Faces are gonna open the show. If you haven’t had the chance to catch them around town yet, keep your eyes peeled and jump on your next opportunity. Attendees of Friday night’s show will have the chance to snag a limited edish copy of the record [glow-in-the-dark vinyl with a different cover] So get your hands on it if you’re able to attend. Only show we know the girls have lined up after this one is an opening slot for Wanda Jackson when she graces the stage at the new Marathon Music Works venue on November 19.
